Short Term Travel Insurance
Why Should I Buy Worldwide Short Term Travel Insurance?
The answer is easy.
Whether you travel for business or pleasure, international travel
involves risk. You may arrive at your destination to find that your luggage
with personal items has disappeared. A personal emergency may necessitate
your early return to your Home Country. A medical emergency may require
hospitalization or even air evacuation.
In most cases, your existing insurance will not provide adequate protection
for these and other risks. Without appropriate travel insurance,
you may be exposed to significant financial liability.

expenses that could result from an injury or sickness during their stay.

USAway International Major
Medical
for US citizen on Medicare is a prospect since Medicare does
not offer coverage while a person is outside the US.
People traveling outside the United States need to check their medical
insurance plans carefully. Most policies limit either:
1) Time a person may be out of the country, or
2) The amount of benefits, or
3) The scope of coverage, or
4) All of the above
EVEN MEDICARE does not travel outside the United States! Page 2 of all
USA passports emphasizes the need to check your coverage before you leave.

International Major Medical
for domestic or international people temporarily outside their own country,
coverage for 2 weeks up to 12 months.
This is a temporary major medical insurance plan intended for indemnification
of eligible expenses from injuries or illness which occur within a specified
geographical area. Benefits may be assignable once validated. Until then,
benefits are paid directly to you to reimburse you for necessary medical
expenses which have been paid by you, subject to covered expenses as outlined
in the certificate.
The International Major Medical Plan provides needed coverage for only
a few dollars a day, regardless of whether your trip will be a few days
or a few years. For your personal security, make sure you have complete
and adequate health care coverage while traveling or residing outside
your home area or home country.
United States passports state explicitly that you should check your coverage
before traveling or residing outside the country, as many plans including
Medicare, do not provide coverage outside the U.S. Many health care plans
infer that coverage is worldwide, but they contain serious exceptions
that nearly render the coverage useless.
