Kidnap &Ransom
to provide counter-terrorist
efforts, negotiation, release and repatriation.
Kidnap and extortion are very real
and growing threats in today's world. While the most vulnerable companies
to kidnapping are those that have employees based or traveling overseas,
organizations that have high profiles, handle large amounts of cash, or
work with sensitive information or technology are equally at risk.
Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion
Insurance not only protects against financial loss, but also provides
the services of leading crisis management and security consultants to
manage incidents in conjunction with the policyholder.
Most kidnaps are carried
out in order to obtain a ransom, and in most cases a ransom is paid. Rescues
are rare, largely because the authorities in most countries recognize that
the safety of the victim is paramount. The average percentage of deaths
following a kidnap is 9%. Killing usually takes place at the time of abduction
rather than during the negotiation. Statistical averages show that in kidnapping
cases: 67% Ransom is paid; 15% are released without payment; 9% are killed;
7% are rescued and 2% escape.
Our customer profile is any individual of any nationality or company with
employees either traveling or based overseas particularly in Latin America,
Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa.
